Essays and Reviews

In January, 2001, I embarked on a mission to write essays and papers analyzing the movies that I watch, concentrating on one director at a time. I managed to cover most of James Cameron's filmography (missing is a write-up on The Abyss, even though I watched it in preparation to do so), and then I moved on to first few of Steven Spielberg's movies before losing the motivation. I have some ambition to pick up where I left off some day, and to add more auteurs to the list.

I also write the occasional contemporary film review. This section will probably be broken until I can sort through all of my old notebooks and type up the material.
